Following are the dimensions of the layers I used:
5-1/2" x 8-12" Basic Black, folded in half for card base
5-3/8" x 4-1/8" Shimmery White
4-1/2" x 3-1/4" Basic Black
4-3/8" x 3-1/8" Shimmery White
3-1/2" x 2-1/4" Basic Black
3-3/8" x 2-1/8" Shimmery White
Extra flower is stamped with black onto Shimmery White card stock then I used a sponge dauber to apply a base of Pink Pirouette ink and then added shading with Riding Hood Red ink. I cut out the flower and attached with dimensionals. The greeting is punched out with the Word Window punch and glued to flower. The ribbon is a retired Stampin' Up! taffetta ribbon in Riding Hood Red.
This is such an elegant technique. I saw it on Pinterest too but didn't pin it. Thanks for bringing back to my attention!

Too funny - I posted a layered card on my blog today too. It seems to be contagious. It is an older technique but always elegant.

ReplyDeleteLove your take on this technique! Thanks for the link to the info!!
ReplyDeleteI have made this type of card for a swap. It really makes you say "Oops" when you are stamping it, and then when you put it together it's AWESOME!
