Peachy Keen March Stamps of the Month

Just when you thought Peachy Keen couldn't top last month, Kathy did it once again!  The March 2012 Stamp of the Month kit features these incredibly adorable gnomies.  The assortment of faces, faceless boy and girl gnomes, accessories and greeting are everything you need to make some awesome projects!  Have you seen the Peachy Picks monthly paper kit?  These kits are AWESOME!  All of the card stocks, designer papers and embellishments I used on this project came from the March kit.  The greeting is from the paper kit as a punch out. Check out the other design team projects HERE.
The card sketch is from Mojo Monday Challenge #229

I love this SOTM set because not only do you get a nice variety of faces for the faceless gnome stamps, but there are also LARGER versions of the same faces to use on your paper piecing and punch art projects! These additional faces are 1-1/8" size which is my preferred size for punch art faces.  The SOTM kits are really a fantastic value at $29.95 when you join the club.  The sets are HUGE.  This set has 33 stamps and they all aren't little stamps.  You get a 2 large faceless gnomes that are 4.75" tall, a large tree stump, flower pot and mushroom (each at least 2" tall), 10 faces, 7 greetings and lots of accessories.

For this project, I wanted to show you a punch art project featuring a face from the set.  The hat and stump are from the stamp set and the rest of the pieces are punches. The papers and embellishments are from the March Peachy Picks paper kit.

To make the punch art gnome, you need the following punches:
1-3/8" Circle for head in Pink Pirouette
Heart to Heart (wide heart) for ears in Pink Pirouette
1/2" Circle for hands in Pink Pirouette
Blossom Petals Builder for hair in So Saffron
Extra Large Oval for body in Pink Pirouette and designer print
Blossom Punch for dress in designer print

Punch pieces as shown.  Cut heart in half for ears.  Punch small oval in top of extra large oval on designer print for the neckline of dress.  Cut blossom punch in half, layer over the top of each other and then cut away the sides towards center of body.  Sponge edges of pink pirouette pieces with blushing bride ink. Sponge edges of so saffron pieces with more mustard ink.  Stamp face with black and color in eyes with unibal white gel pen. Sponge rose ink or chalk onto cheeks. Color nose with blushing bride marker.
