Surprise Birthday Blog Hop for the Peachy Princess

Happy Birthday Angelica!

The Peachy Keen design team along with PKS alumni and several stamping friends want to celebrate the birthday of the Peachy Keen princess, Angelica Suarez.  For those of you that don't know Angelica, she is the daughter of the Peachy Queen, Kathy (owner of PKS).  She organizes and directs the design team in challenges, blog posts, new stamp release parties and other PKS events.  Besides all of this work, she has her own stamp company called Market Street Stamps and directs her own design team over there as well.  She's an all-around fantastic lady to know!


I created this card for Angelica using the Cottage Cutz Duck & Egg die by Peachy Keen.  The greeting is from the PK-266 Duck Dolls stamp set.  The card sketch is from a Pals Paper Arts challenge HERE.  I used Poppy Parade for the card base,  Just Add Cake DSP and a piece of glittery floral paper I had in my paper stash.  The duck is cut from So Saffron and Peach Parfait card stock.  If you haven't seen the Cottage Cutz dies, they are AWESOME!  They work perfectly with the Big Shot (platform with all folders closed and the 2 clear cutting plates).    Check out the whole Peachy Keen Cottage Cutz selection.  They have a great new release of new dies on sale right now!  http://www.peachykeenstamps.com/catalog/Cutting_Dies-128-1.html

Origami Valentine Box & Card

Mitsy Sue Sympathy

I haven't participated in a sketch challenge for a long time but I saw this Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge and couldn't resist playing along.  A friend of mine recently lost a grandparent and this sketch was perfect for my card design.  I used this really sweet sympathy set from Peachy Keen called Mitsy Sue & Colby Cheer Up.  I paper pieced the kitty with a butter colored polka dot paper.   All of the papers are from a retired Stampin' Up! collection.

Inspired by Stamping New Release Party

It's finally time to reveal all of the great new Inspired by Stamping stamp sets!  You can buy it HERE.  Once again, I'm showing you a card made with the Hearts stamp set. There are lots of stamps in this set!

 The hearts on the card are all glittered with dazzling diamonds and the greeting is outlined with a gold stardust pen.  The section is raised in the middle with dimensionals.  Once again, I used the new pleated ribbon from Stampin' Up! which is my new favorite embellishment.  I wish you could see this in person, it's so glittery and shimmery!

Peachy Keen Stamp of the Month Club

After many requests, Peachy Keen has created a Stamp of the Month Club.  Each month, members will receive a set worth $39.95 for only $24.95.  The club is a 6 Month subscription.  This is a GREAT DEAL on fabulous stamps!  The new Design Team is sharing their fabulous creations made with the first SOTM.  Join the fun in a linky party over at the PKS Challenge Site.  The January 2012 set features angels, cherubs, hearts and valentine greetings.  This is a HUGE set.  The largest stamps in the set are also big.  What a great bargain!  Details on joining the club are HERE.

This is my creation using the new SOTM.  These little cherubs are the sweetest!  The faces are interchangeable.  I wanted to make my little angel sleeping on a cloud.  I die cut a bunch of clouds and layered them all over the back with dimensionals.  The angel and clouds in front are popped up.  The card closes (although it's a big thick).  Sorry I didn't have time to write a tutorial for this one.


The outside of the card features papers from the Peachy Keen January 2012 Paper Crafting Kit.  The kit features a beautiful paper pad, ribbons, tags, pennants and heart clips and embellishments.  It's an awesome kit that every paper crafter needs for their Valentine cards!

Inspired by Stamping Sneak Peek Day 2

Here's another project coming at you.  The Sweet Valentine's set has so many wonderful greetings in it!  I wish you could see this card in person.  The paper has glitter imbedded in it which you can't see in the picture.  It's so soft and pretty.  The Hearts set by Inspired by Stamping will be available to purchase on Saturday.

Inspired by Stamping Sneak Peek

Inspired by Stamping is releasing a new batch of fantastic stamps this Saturday.  For the next three days I will be sharing my creations using the new Valentines set called Hearts.  This set will be sure to capture your heart!  The other design team members will be sharing peeks of other sets coming out.  Please be sure to stop over at their blogs to see all the other great ideas.

I've been wanting to try one of these cards for a while.  This is a called a Triple Tier slider card.  The tutorial can be found in the resources section on splitcoast stampers HERE.

I found that my Stampin' Up! pigment ink pads worked perfectly with these stamps, especially the bold solid ones like the heart topiary.  I outlined the hearts with my gold stardust pen.  It's so much prettier in person when you can see the shimmer and shine!

My Creative Time Guest Designer - FREE TUTORIAL

I am so thrilled to have the opportunity to guest design for Emma from My Creative Time.  I instantly fell in love with her greeting sets the first time I saw them.  They are made from the same high quality peachy rubber you have come to love from Peachy Keen.  They stamp wonderfully with all kinds of inks and the sentiments are truly awesome!   Today I'm using a set called "You Had Me at Chocolate".  Below is a picture of what you get in the set.  Take some time to check out her other stamps HERE.

Peachy Keen 2012 Design Team!

If you are are regular reader of mine, you know that I'm a Peachy Keen stamps fanatic!  I have had the privilege and pleasure of working on the best design team on earth for the past year. I'm excited to tell you that I am continuing on the team for another year!  So, you can expect lots more punch art with those adorable faces this year!  Plus, I'm the tutorial expert of the group so you can expect some extra fun projects along with the challenges.  If you have some time, please check out the blog sites of the other design team members.  I have checked out their blogs and they are all very talented!  I would also like to welcome back 3 of my Peachy Keen sisters from the alumni team.  Incidentally, my alumni sisters that are no longer on the team will return occasionally over the next year for a super big blog hop.  It looks to be a fantastic year with Peachy Keen!

Crocodile Valentine Box

This month, I have two projects on Craft Project Central.  My first entry is this crocodile valentine box with matching 3 x 3 valentine card.  This box is the perfect size for kids to use for their valentine exchange.  The mouth opens and closes for easily putting cards and treats inside.  The box colors could be changed for a dinosoaur look as well.  Try leaving off the jagged teeth for a Hippo (add a couple small tags in front for the teeth).  This box has so many fun uses!  To get the instructions for this project and 9 other wonderful projects, head over to Craft Project Central and join the January 2012 edition for only $10.
