Today is the big day! Cute birdie

Hello everyone, I'm excited that my T-Slide Tutorial is the feature on Split Coast Stampers for Technique Wednesday!  Be sure to hop on over there to see my love birdie punch art that decorates my featured card.

Here is a T-Slide card I made with my newest cute birdie punch art creation.

Instructions for making the cute birdie:

You need the following Stampin' Up! punches:

Ornament punch in baja breeze for body
1 1/4" Circle punch for belly (I used a co'ordinations cardstock but you could sub for your color of choice)
Boho Blossoms for feet & feathers - punch 2 of the smallest flower out of pumpkin, tangerine or peach & 1 of the largest flower out of baja breeze
Heart of Hearts for beak - punch smallest heart out of pumpkin, tangerine or peach
2 Step Bird Punch for wings - punch 2 of the wings out of baja breeze
3/4" Circle in white for eyes
crop-a-dile for pupils in the eyes

Punch the pieces as pictured.  Freehand cute a couple narrow strips of pumpkin for the legs.

1) Clip off the top of the ornament.  Clip off 3 petals on each side of the baja colored boho blossom for the feathers on top of the head.  Clip off 2 petals on each side of the pumpkin colored boho blossoms to create the feet.  Clip away some of the paper between the remaining petals to create the toes.

2) Sponge the edges of the baja breeze pieces with marina mist ink.  Sponge the edges of the pumpkin pieces with pumpkin ink.

3) Punch 2 black dots with the largest hole punch on the crop-a-dile.  Glue onto the 2 white circles for the eyes.  Glue the 2 eyes together, slightly overlapping.  Glue the pumpkin strips onto the feet to create legs.  Glue feathers onto top of head.  Glue wings onto body.  Glue belly patch onto body.

4) Attach beak with dimensional.  Attach eyes above beak with dimensionals.

I used My Minds Eye designer paper to create the T-Slide card.  The greetings are from the Stampin' Up! stamp set called "FYI".

Enjoy!
